Pasticceria Italia’s story began in 1947 in Messina, Sicily, where 14-year-old Giuseppe Luca discovered his passion for pastry at Pasticceria Irrera, quickly earning a reputation for skill and craftsmanship. In 1960, Giuseppe and his wife Elisa embraced a new chapter, arriving in Melbourne with just £10 and a suitcase, and in 1963, Pasticceria Italia opened its doors, sharing the flavours of Italy with the local community. Today, Giuseppe’s grandson, Lui Jon, carries the family tradition forward, blending time-honoured recipes and techniques with a modern vision for today’s generation of dessert lovers.
